The borg has a one-track mind; it's still going to be all about preaching, only now it's preaching to the resurrected ones.

Sure fire fast track route to the big DF...
by creativhoney inok so when i finally didnt care, i did attend a jc, but i wanted closure, deep down i actually wanted them to df me.
- has anyone else been in this scenario, and what did you say at your jc that ensured the right action was taken.. they asked me how i felt about my relationship with jehovah - i simply said, i dont feel anything since i dont have one.
i dont pray, i dont study, and i dont show much interest.

Once my fade is rolling in earnest, I plan to be on full ignore mode. No JC. No shepherding. Nada. The only thing they're going to hear from me is, "Thanks, but I just don't have the time."

The Probabilty of there being an Intelligent Designer
by cantleave ini have been thinking a great deal about where i stand at this moment in time in terms of a belief in a creator verses a belief in an evolutionary process.
i think the best way to describe it is an exploratory path.
i look at what is around me and i acknowledge it is remarkable.

There is no question in my mind that the absolute beginning of all things in our universe came from an intelligent mind. From that moment on, I don't think it matters. The universe is in motion and therefore constantly changing, evolving if you will. Is the original intelligence causing it all to happen on a daily basis or was it built into the original design and then left to chug along it's merry way? Again, I don't think it really matters which is true. BUT putting faith in one answer or the other limits one's ability to reason on evidence observed. Better to keep an open mind, IMO.

Religious people are funny
by sinis in... how you can take a book written centurys ago, and vague at that, and try to decern what the writers "really" meant and how the doomsday prophecys "really" indicated our times.
doesn't feel like your chasing your tail?
why not, eat and drink for tomorrow you may die?

A clever drunk once said, "Religion is a snare and a racket," and he was quite right.

Should I have ridden Disney's Carousel?
by Bystander39 insince witnesse beliefs state to avoid all thing with shady, war-like, occult, etc.
background, the following information taken from zigzone.com caused me to wonder if they are allowed to ride the carousel at disney world.
weren't we told to avoid playing chess because of its war training background?.

Plus, there's probably a unicorn and other "PAGAN" creatures on there. If you ride the carousel, you WILL be destroyed at Armageddon. Bank on it.

Carla, did you know that the old "book study" is no longer at private homes but at the K.H. and that it has been renamed "Congregation Bible Study?" Only 25 minutes long, I've been to some where there is barely time for any scriptures to be read at all. It's all about whatever WT book they're studying at the moment.

Nine year old baptized
by EmptyInside inthis weekend at the circuit assembly, (i stayed home, thank goodness), i heard a nine year -old girl was baptized.
and she seems a bit mature for her age, but hardly mature enough,in my opinion, to make such a choice on her own.
it seems to be a trend in our circuit right now.

Could an adult, earlier baptized as a minor such as this, use their minor status as a way to sort of "annul" their baptism and avoid DA or DF?
Has it been tried? And with what results?

From Jon, My Brother
by AllTimeJeff ini had a brother.
his name was jon.. jon was a sweet, super sensitive guy.
also, a very tortured soul.

Thank you for sharing this, ATJeff. Experiences here help so many of us so much. I believe Newton's Third Law of Motion applies to life as much as to physics and that from great losses can come great personal progress and achievement in soul and spirit.

HUGE, Faithful and discreet slave SEPARATED from other annointed now!!
by EndofMysteries ini almost missed this in my last post, but i just realized how important and must list it.
paragraph 14 from jan 15, 2010 wt last article entitled "jehovah's way of ruling vindicated".
"a few anointed members of "the israel of god" still remain, and as jesus' brothers, they continue to act as "ambassadors substituting for christ (2 cor 5:20) they have been appointed as a faithful and discreet slave class to care for and provide spiritual food for annointed ones and a growing crowd of christians, who now include millions having the hope of living on earth forever.

I recently tried to talk with a family member about the increasing numbers of anointed. The reply was twofold. One, that the new ones are probably fake (to which I replied: how do we know which ones are fake or whether maybe they're ALL fake?). Two, that the entire topic is just too confusing to worry about (to which I replied: that's on purpose, they want you confused so you won't question their doctrine).
So yeah, much of the rank and file are baffled with their convoluted circumlocutions.

Legal Experts, please read my question. Thank you!
by asilentone inis it blackmail if i send very incriminating pics to someone without any words?.

I don't see the danger here if the pics don't show illegal activity.
